I’ve gone off-topic for sure, I apologize. There’s got to be something Blender users can do to influence Blender development- and again, I know that’s what this site is for, but clearly, feedback on this site does not correlate to what gets into Blender. My next reaction is to resign myself to that fact that I’ll never actually get to use this new feature in a release version of Blender. Whenever I see a new patch from you, my initial reaction is excitement- everything you make is incredible. What can we do as users to get these patches into Blender? The answer is usually given as “provide feedback on the patch discussion threads”, but that doesn’t seem to have an effect, as all of these patches and threads have detailed discussions (and almost every reply in these discussions is saying “please add this to Blender!”) I’m sure I’ve missed even more, those are just the immediate ones. There could be annoying differences because of colo… In my quick and dirty tests it seems to work a charm, but I haven’t tested at all thoroughly. Note that I’m specifically wanting to know if it works as you expect in real-world situations. This should allow you to use the Blender eyedropper to select colors outside of Blender windows: I’m hoping to get some Windows users to download and test the following build: Blender Builds. Testing Wanted: Windows (only) Eyedropper Build User Interface
